Happy Birthday, John!

John's birthday is right by, if not on, Father's Day. So we usually celebrate them together. We had cake on Father's Day, so on his actual birthday we let him blow out all his candles (on Sunday we only did 12, 3+9) and open presents. Birthdays aren't as exciting now as when you're little, but it's still fun. Happy Birthday!!

Is there really a cake under all that fire? Just kidding , John. I wouldn't want to see all my candles on a cake, I'd have quite a few!

there's never a bad time for cake. really, birthdays after 16 are made simply for the excuse to eat cake and ice cream. :)

and what is that cake? or is it chocolates or something?

happy birthday, john!

It's not really a cake. It's a piece of cardboard, covered in foil, with globs of frosting holding the candles. We'd had cake and leftovers for a few days, so decided not to make another one :(
